About RUNE
RUNE is a personal intelligence product currently in beta. This policy describes how RUNE handles your information today. As the product matures, this policy may change, and we will update the date above when it does.
Information we collect
- Account information — the name, email address, or phone number you use to sign in.
- Reflections — the written notes and check-ins you choose to record.
- Priorities — the priorities and goals you define.
- Calendar information — when you connect Google Calendar, event titles, times, and attendee availability from the calendars you authorize.
- Voice reflections — when you record a reflection by voice, the audio is transcribed to text for you to review.
- Device and app usage information — basic technical and usage data needed to operate the app, such as notification tokens and error diagnostics.
- Behavioral intelligence — derived observations RUNE computes from the activity above.
How we use information
We use your information to generate Recognitions, generate Signals, surface Patterns, personalize what RUNE shows you, and improve the beta experience. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Human review during beta
During the beta period, authorized RUNE personnel may review user content, including information derived from connected services such as Google Calendar, for the limited purpose of evaluating product quality, investigating issues, and improving your beta experience. This review is limited to those purposes. It is not used for advertising, and your information is not sold.
Disclosure version 2026-08-01.1
AI processing
Some information — including content derived from connected services — is sent to third-party AI providers so RUNE can generate insights, reflections, and transcriptions. These are per-request operations: information is sent to produce your result and returned to you. RUNE itself does not train or fine-tune models on user content. These providers process the information under their own terms.
Google Calendar
RUNE requests read access to your Google Calendar so it can understand your commitments and the context around them — what you have scheduled, when, and how it relates to the priorities you have set. This is what allows RUNE to notice patterns in how you spend your time.
Calendar-derived content may be included in the AI processing and internal review described above. See the "AI processing" and "Human review during beta" sections for details.
You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from within RUNE, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Push notifications
If you enable them, RUNE may send push notifications related to Signals and Recognitions. You can turn notifications off at any time in RUNE's settings or in your device settings.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Deleting your account
During beta, account deletion is handled manually. Write to hello@meetrune.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it, and we will remove your account and associated data. We are not yet offering self-serve deletion, and we are not promising a specific turnaround time during beta.
